I would like to share my experience of sending my 18-month-old DD to Agape Little Uni @ Jurong West.
Unfortunately DD’s experience was very unpleasant. In fact, we have withdrew her from the centre just after 2 days.
On the 2nd day, I spent about 2.5 hours with her in cc and then left her there after she has finished her lunch and was going to take her bath. Just one hour after I left, the cc called me to tell me that DD has very bad scratch marks around her eyes. I was so worried I quickly went to the school to pick her up.
I was shocked to see angry red and bloody scratch wounds around her eyes! She has never scratched herself so badly before. All of my friends who saw pictures of her wounds (I posted the pics on FB) were shocked too.
The principal and teacher said that DD was crying and looking for me after she came out from the bathroom. She was crying very badly and rubbing her eyes. The teacher discovered the scratch marks when she went over to console her. The CC insists that no one was near her and DD was the one that scratched herself while crying. The principal said that upon inspection, she felt that DD’s nails, though short, is quite sharp.
I really cannot believe that DD can scratch herself so badly because:
1) she does not have the habit of scratching her face when she is crying or agitated
2) her nails are short and not sharp after I check
3) she would have stop scratching when she felt the pain on her face and wouldn’t continuing scratching
The principal and teacher look like earnest people and I dun think they will lie. But it’s hard for me to believe that my girl can do such damage to herself. I wish I know what had happened exactly. Too bad DD doesn’t know how to tell.
I’m disappointed that things turned out this way. The CC has pretty good reviews and the kids look happy there. I guess it’s just bad luck for us. I’m enrolling DD in a 2-hour playgroup instead. I’m a little paranoid and apprehensive about sending her to CC for now. Maybe wait till she is older and can tell us if she hurt herself or is unhappy, etc. -
Any parents here with children at Agape @ Cecil?
Have they changed their principal? How is she?
How do you find the teachers there?
Would appreciate your honest feedback for the centre.
Thanks in advance!

Most importantly, my kid like teachers and classmates there.Any parents here with children at Agape @ Cecil?

Hi thr, any comments to share for the ctr @ mid view city? Considering for my son next Jan. Thanks.

I've already registered my boy to the centre @ Mid View City. The place looks really nice, clean and new. My boy loves the indoor playground and refuse to come out the last time I went to visit. The Principal, Shanti (looks young) is really passionate about the centre and their programme when I spoke to her. She shared with me what the children will go through on a day to day basis and it sounds really interesting. My boy has all the while been attending only a 2-hour playgroup, so she suggested that I let my boy attend \"flexi-care\" programme first which is a 3-4 hour a day till my boy is used to the centre, then maybe I can transfer him to a full-day. The good thing about the school is that they have substantial learning programme in the morning as well. Not like some childcare (which I checked out) where children don't learn much if they go for only half-day. What I understand is that morning they will have \"in-house\" programmes (taught by their own teachers) and afternoon are covered by external vendors. The price includes all enrichment programmes! They have speech and drama, baking, computer lessons, kidz gym, art and craft, etc.
Can any parents share about children experiences in Agape@Little Uni? Do they really cover all those they promised in the programme? I worried they talk big only and give me empty promises...:P -
Not so sure if Cecil kids move from class to class from wat some mummies posted here. When I visited the sch I noted dat the kids are assigned classrooms n all the lessons are conducted in that room. They dun move ard.
Also the food menu dun look appealing. No healthy barley drink for tea break etc which some CC offers.
Teachers are young n soft spoken for the younger classes but not v experienced.
For parents w kids transferred there from other centers , can I ask if u visited the sch during lessons times? Coz I noted most of their kids are transferred from other centres
