I would like to ask how allocation is given ? say for eg, if a school only has 300 seats :


1A - 150 taken
2A - 50 taken

Will the balance 100 seats be shared among 2B and 2C ? If yes, how much they will allocate to 2B and 2C in general?

Yes balance 100 will be divided into half and allocate to 2b and 2c.. so 50 each lor...

:yikes: Does that mean to say also tat, there is no limitations as to how many applicants apply for one particular school? Like a sch could haf 90% seats taken up?

Like a sch could haf 90% seats taken up?[/quote]For Phase 1 and Phase 2, there's no quota, so in theory, the only limit is the number of vacancies. For example last year for CHS, at the end of phase2, there were only 18 vacancies left for P2B and P2C. So each phase had 9 vacancies.

Grossly unfair isn't it, but I had commented in a different thread on this and basically got brushed off.

but if say P2B nt many seats taken, at least the remaining will be pushed forward to P2C


say 50 to 2B & 2C each…

then only 20 taken up in 2B, so 30 seats will be pushed to 2C… so 2C will hv 80

I guess since govt haf put it in such a way… it can nvr be fair or unfair… hard to judge lor… if they dun do it tis way… den those ppl in Phase 1 might state unfairness too… right?

It will be interesting to see if the gvt will make any changes if there come a time when all vacancies are taken up by P2 for popular schools.
