Just wanna share my experience:

My daughter attended Appletree Playgroup at Yishun Blk 259 in 2008. Her teacher was Teacher Sornah. She was strict with the children but still remained approachable to them. My daughter enjoyed herself very much there. She looked forward to every lesson. After her graduation day, she was upset that she won't be able to go back there for lessons! So for those who are looking for a playgroup in that area, you may wanna consider this one at Blk 259.

My daughter is currently in PCF Yishun Blk 122. Her teachers are Mdm Ong (form teacher) and Ms Amirah. She is still enjoying herself in school. She gets upset if she falls sick and cannot go to school. Every day after school, she'll tell us what she has learnt / done in school. So those who are looking for a nursery/kindergarten in that area may consider PCF at Blk 122.

I’m looking for preschool for my ds… Any gd recommendation at yishun /sem area? I want those 3 hr type nt whole day CC. N oso looking for enrichment like speech n drama or similar for him…his turning 3yr next yr.

I am staying at sembawang. Seriously for me to search for an infant care (IFC) centre to childcare centre is a nightmare. I had put my son in the waiting list for the nearest available CC (who have infant care svs) before he was born. Up till now when he is 21 mth the CC still had no place for me!!! The centre even suggest me to look for other CC. I called up MCYS and highlight the shortage of CC around my area. They replied by saying yes there is a shortage of CC in the cluster where i lived but there is alot more option at other part of sembawang!!! Haizzzzz So to me is like do i need to shift house becos of CC??? Weird right!!! I heard ppl shift house when they want to enrol their kid to the prefer primary school but not for CC right??? In the end i had to look for CC at Yishun. Anyone share the same situation with me??? It makes me wonder when it come to Primary school registeration the nearest available canberra primary school (5min walking distance from my house) will i get a place for my son?? Haizzzz

i stay in sembawang too, and i totally agree with you!
it's so difficult to find a good preschool! those more popular ones are always on waiting list..
my girl has been attending a presch at Civic center. sch is v good but now have to look for another kindergarten for next year at sembawang to make things easier for my parents.. sigh.. no hope yet...

If you really want your child to attend canberra pri, then you need to consider doing parent's volunteer, so that you can get another chance in balloting under 2B. if unlucky in 2B, you can still try for 2C..
without PV, your child will be under 2C (meaning you only got 1 chance in balloting)...
