We went for Zhangde & GESPS's open house last Sat. Both my kids like Zhangde better. We were late for GESPS's open house, they were packing up when we were there so didn't get to see much. Thankfully, we managed to speak to some teachers there. Impression given is Zhangde is more holistic while GESPS is more academic. Still pondering over which school.

You can probably tell that Zhangde made a lot of preparation and dedicated a lot of resources for the open house.

Perhaps you would like to read through the posts of one of the forummers here in this thread. She gave a very good review of GESPS. Look for 2009 posts, sometime in May-Jul.

We went to zhangde’s open house too… very nice and informative…

There were a few students that took pains to explain to us about their school activities and CCA…
My DD was a bit stressed when I told her that she has to buy food herself in the canteen… think she was soaking in the big school atmostphere…

Yup can tell a lot of time and effort put in by Zhangde. The students even conduct guided tour of their garden


Wanted to check out the school library too bad it was closed.

DS saw a few of his classmates there. Quite surprised by the good turn-out.

Hi, I’m a newbie here. My son is a slight slow learner and due to register for P1.


I am eligible for RMPS (phase 2C <1-2km) or GESPS (Phase 2A(2)). Understand that there should be no problem of getting into GESPS. Is this true? Hence am unsure if it is worth taking the risk to register for RMPS first (though the chance may be slim) and if unsuccessful, i will then try GESPS in Phase 2C Supplementary.

However, I am also worried of the competition and stress level my son might face in RMPS if he gets into the school.

Can someone advise me before Phase 2A(2) commences? Thanks.

Suggest you get a place in GESPS Phase 2A(2) & monitor the situation of RMPS when at Phase 2C. RMPS I predict would have balloting for staying at within 1Km. Beyond that the chance is very slim. GESPS & ZDPS are coming up strongly well sought after RMPS, RVPS & CHIJ (Kelock).
