The good news is that there is a definite downward trend in demand for Rosyth through the years, and especially so for this year in Phases up to Phase 2B, so it is possible that it may go below 200% this year.
Hi Chief, I have the same reading as you. Would like to hear your personal view on this trend? pm me if necessary.
Btw my son is in next year under 2B.
Also, for those who intend to shift near the school, do consider carefully.
As the single session change will result in demand for more classroom space and if vertical expansion is not feasible, a relocation option may kick in. Anything is possible to happen.
IMHO. -

Oh... my analysis is purely technical. From the numbers, the APP in Phase 2C has dropped from 441% in 2006 to 214% this year, and the fall has been consistent. This is indicative of falling demand. But even so, the chance of getting into Rosyth in Phase 2C is still 2 to 1 and requires less than 1km.Hi Chief, I have the same reading as you. Why does there appear to be a fall in demand? You will need parents with kids in Rosyth to tell you that. -

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I can see that too and this apply to all phases since 2006 (the datas that I can see here).
And 2 to 1 in Phase 2C this year is just the ratio, the actual no. is declining. The demand is actually falling. Why?? -

I can think of a few reasons:
1) birth rate is falling
2) parents are more informed (credit to KSP website) and plan ahead given that Rosyth is so competitive, less and less people willing to take the chance in balloting (1 in 4 situation).
3) parents are worried about their kid not being able to cope in Rosyth -
Hi - am new to the forum. Does anyone know any feedback on St Gabriel’s Primary to share?
-
Just to update those who applied for St Gabriel’s for Phase 2C Supp:
I called the school and they says that balloting only for those more than 2 km. Those within 2km (my block was on 2 km line!) are in. -
Hi Vasari,
Just in case you didnt know, the school's website is at:
http://www.stgabrielspri.moe.edu.sg/
When I was researching te school I came across their orientation slides for 2009 intake. That showed me a lot about the school. See below for link

I hope that helps -
Hai… I will be shifting to Serangoon North Ave 4 next June 10 and only to realise that I had missed the PV enrolment for my child born in 2005. My heart sank when I saw the registration statics at Rosyth school for Phase 2C. Only 1 out of 3 child will be selected … OMG!
Need advise on what other choice do I have other than Rosyth around my area?
Thank as I am not familar with Serangoon. -
My son is born in 2006 and I’m interested to apply for PV in Rosyth. However, I stay in Yishun… Do they take distance into consideration for PV? Can I state in the application form that I will be moving to within 1km if selected for PV? Will this backfire instead?
