Fernvale Primary

Thank you, Dear! We are trying to get more parents involved. Although it might seem to be a minor thing. But please, when it's our own kids in the pic then everything is necessary to ensure our child safety. Nobody wants to be a nasty parent! Let's wait and see if any measures is taken into consideration. Mus
real hard! Ha!Ha! -
Hi Just want to check,
does their form teacher in Fernvale Primary will be the same for P1 and P2 ?how about their classmate?will be the same too?
thanks -
So far, I’ve no complains about the school.
My DS enjoys going to school. I like the fact that this school only has morning sessions. And the school organizes many talks for parents.
It breaks my heart to see my DS drenched when walking to the car in the rain. However, I have learnt to accept that (no choice mah).
At Fernvale, at least I still get to drive in to let DS alight at the foyer in the mornings. I have heard of other well-known schools where the kids are made to walk all the way in from the front gate. Hope FVPS will never do that! -
Fernvale do not have CA cos the school is fairly new n is adopting MOE’s new initiative PERI assessment. It’s all rounded n many prestigious schools are also adopting this assessment. Even school like nan Chiau still don’t have. Personally I think it’s more fair. Imagine 2 kids sit for written exam only n the weaker one goes to " lousy" class based on that paper only? Imagine the weaker pupil can speak very well n the better kid cannot? Peri assessment test on presentation, speaking, listening and writing. It’s very fair. In easy terms, it’s called bite size assessment or formative assessment. This form of assessment is good for lower Pri ESP P1 since they are very young. Good training too. As for teachers, high MC cos they are at family planning stage. So long as they make up for it when they return, e kids won’t miss out too much. Do note that the school gives differentiated worksheets to pupils according to their learning ability. They don’t force feed. Popular schools in this area also don’t have. Too complacent, I guess.

So any parents out there, pls pls share ur personal experience & feedbacks on this sch? Such as d teachers, Principals/VP's, homewrk, CCAs etc etc since it's already Jul 2011. d pros & cons of this sch. All ur inputs are greatly appreciated. Thanks

I hv also no other choice but to put my gal to this sch due to the proximity. Fernvale residents only this sch that is within 1 km. MOE shd build more school around us:) -
Hi,
The group seems not active,
anyway, just want to know, can someone share their view on the level of teaching of this school? I mean, compare to other schools, do you think yr child's test paper is too easy? such as math. -
Totorolover, what makes u feel their Maths test paper is too easy? U have kids studying there currently?
Any other feedback from parents with kids currently in Fernvale Primary?
We have booked a BTO flat in that area, which is estimated to complete in 4Q 2013.
My elder son is due for P1 registration in 2014. We found out from MOE that the only school within 1km is Fernvale Primary. We were looking at Anchor Green Primary but MOE said that is 1-2km range. Sianzzz… So limited choices for Fernvale residents. Really regret booking that flat manz. -
Hi all,
My gal will be in Fernvale Primary school next yr. I can only share when she is in school for a few months. Read the reviews shared last year, quite a few positive ones. I hope my gal will like the school as it is only 8-10min walk away from home. I am not so worried whether the test papers are easy, but whether my gal can cope with the new environment. Most importantly, my gal is happy and enjoys going to school.
