KTKLN for indo maid?

Hi carebear,
If U can Trust Your Maid to Come Back ....
Better Renew it before she go home.
Renewal of WP Can b Done within the Last Month of expiry, and no earlier.
So U could send in the renewal from 23/10/2011 onwards, still got time to get back all the doc before her departure on 1/11/2011.

If she go home, and come back after the expiry date on 22/11/2011, she won't be able to re-enter Spore using her WP.
Then U need to re-apply again, and the process could be lengthy.
(And U will have to GO MAID-less during the period ....)

Her passport can be renew in Spore in the Indon Embassy next year.
MOM will issue her renew WP up to 1 mth b4 passport expiry.
but upon her new passport renewal (think it's 3 years), U can apply to MOM to Update her passport data, as well as extend the WP up to the full 2 years.

Note : Indo Embassy want Employer to bear cost of their Renewal of Passport .... (think its $60+ ....)

Can you attached a copy of the letter you get from Indo embassy on the 29 offices in indonesia to do the card. My maid fly via Jogyarta, so not sure the airport there can make such card. thanks

no luck - even before I could say something. You have to wish me good luck if I could find a 'ok' maid in Sept.

In Feb, she told us she wants to go back after contract finishes in Sept; den 2 weeks ago she said she wants to continue. She going back in Sept for her home leaves. This morning, she told me, she will go back next year Aug when her passport expires! :slapshead: I told her, her pp expire in Aug, doesnt mean she can go back on that mth. I have to renew her pp in Feb or earlier! She dont seems to undertand. Anyway, DH & I are going to start looking for new one and send her off in Sept.. her mind too fickle and I really have no time for such things... she may play us out after coming back or dont even wants come back! :mad:

My indon helper has decided to renew her contract for 2 years.

Her permit ends on 22/11/2011, and her passport in October 2012.

She intends to go back from 1/11/2011 to 15/11/2011.
I think the time frame is a bit dicy as it is too close to the expiry of her WP.

May I know when is the best latest time for her to go back?
Can she go home before she renews her permit and passport?

My indo maid has decided to renew her 2 yrs contract. Her contract ends in Oct 2011 and she is going back to celebrate her Hari Raya this Aug. She will be back to Sin on 2 Sep. Her passport expired in Oct 2012.

Question :
1. Any problem in applying the KTKLN? Cos the contract will end 3 mths later.
2. Can renews her WP after she come back?

I went to Batam with my maid last Friday to make her KTKLN card. The location of the place is about 10 mins drive from the Batam Centre Ferry Terminal. The process took about 45 mins but was delayed by the insurance paperwork. Card is free but insurance need to pay Rp 290,000.

You’ll need to standby 2 photocopies of the passport(maid face + tax free sticker at the last page), WP and Contract or Work Agreement which had beeb endorsed by the Indonesian emabassy.
To shine_fs it is better if u renew her WP first coz the KTKLN validity coincides with their WP. And if she does not have her KTKLN card she might get stuck at the airport.
Funny thing, the immigration officers in Batam were not very intrested with the KTKLN card. My maid showed them her Singapore WP and she cleared immigration without any problems…

My maid was just back from her home leave.

She did her KTKLN card near Surabaya Airport (1 hr bus ride) before going back to her kampong.

According to her, she waited 1 whole day to get the card because it was super crowded. Maids from HK, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore were all there to make the card, so do go early if possible.

On her flight back, she witness 3 maids without the card being rejected by the indonesian customs though they have all the air tickets and travel documents ready.
