      DaddyD!!

this is for you, I ended calling the baby bonus :skeptical:

Separate CDA is required for Yr2005. the credits can be used as per the CDA account (sch fees, medical)

If you do not use the credits ($400) or if you have remaining credits, MCYS will be sending a letter in November 2011 to ask us to fill up form to indicate if we want to have the credits withdrawn as cash or have the credits transferred to a Post Secondary Account.

What is Post Secondary Account -> Account for Teritary Education. ITE, Poly, local Uni.

if you opt for cash, the disbursement will be done by Feb 2012.

Nuh, I thought so as well. This is the link: http://app.customerfeedback.mcys.gov.sg/bbs_faqmain.asp?strItemChoice=2011224111918&strSubItemChoice=2011224112159&action=SHOWTOPICS&m_strTopicSysID=2011224112536#2011224112159

Can I withdraw the remaining Credit from my child's CDA when his CDA is closed (the year he turns 6 years old)?

You can opt to withdraw the monies in your child's CDA when your child's CDA is closed if your child is born in 2005 to 2007. If your child is born after 2007, the balance of the Credit top-up in the CDA will be transferred directly into his Post-Secondary Education Account.

does it mean that 2005-2007 kids must close their CDA acct? so confusing.
