My kid 2.5 yo. Is it too young to visit dentist?
if there is no great cause for concern, then not necessary. In the meantime, your child must practise good oral hygiene at home. -

My soon to be 6 DD milk teeth hv not drop yet. Should I be worried?
Personally I dun think so. Every child develops differently. But if u are really concerned, then maybe bring her to the dentist just to have a routine check. At least put on mind at ease. -
schweppes:
Actually her next checkup is in sept or October. Just checking if it is the norm as she say most of her friends drop at least one milk tooth.bigsnoopy:

Nothing to worry at all. My dd dropped her first milk tooth at the end of P1. She's in Sec 1 now, recently got to extract her last milk tooth to 'persuade' the adult tooth to grow out, so that the orthodontist can make final adjustment. -

Old wives tale : the longer it takes for the baby tooth to drop off and replace by adult tooth............the better

My 5 year old son had a very traumatised experience at the clementi ntuc dentist. I would not recommend any young kid to visit there as he is not trained to handle young kids.....

I think some adults, like me, who is very extremely scared of dental treatment, also need a patient and kind dentist. Young kids generally are also nervous, better check with friends for kid-friendly dentists. -
not sure if i should post this hereβ¦
any adult visited Gum specialist before? any recommendation (West)?
TIA. I just got an appointment with polyclinic for referral to NDC, but the earliest appointment date is in October! -
Just extracted my cracked molar. The first dentist I consulted was very against extraction and said that the tooth could be saved by doing root canal. He even said the molar has long roots and would need to cut the gum in order to extract, so surgery is needed. Luckily I consulted another dentist. He did a simple extraction and told me the tooth is too cracked to be saved. Wonder why the first dentist is so against extraction.
