ok so if dsa through ballet/dance must die die stay on to the cca right..ok thanks...shall see how keen is she in ballet 3 yrs later... :roll:vlim:
my p3 dd is doing ballet since k2...wonder should I consider to let her try dsa via ballet in future as wonder is it good to take up dance as cca in secondary school or not.. ...scared latter she become too 'havoc'.. :skeptical:
If she's going to turn havoc she'll turn havoc even in NCC.
I think it's more important to see if she has the passion for it and if the passion will last her through Sec 4. I know of a girl who DSA'd via ballet but who was always benched during school performances and competitions, so never got a chance to perform/compete. She lost interest very quickly and was bored in her Dance CCA but had no choice but to stay on bec she DSA'd in via Dance. Worse still, she couldn't chalk up CCA competition points. -

Some schools make you sign a contract so you know what you're in for.jtoh:

last time when i called them, they replied - queue up yr child’s name first. Around April to June each yr, they’ll start to form new classes, for new fresh intake. Then they will call you up, bring yr child down, see if child can follow simple teacher’s instructions. If child can follow instructions, then child can join SBA. Minimum age entry requirement is 4 yrs old.

Thanks! I will call them & find out more

I called SBA this morning, and they emailed me the form for the assessment and told me there are available slots! It’s so fast? However the timing is not so ideal.
