I’m eligible for Phase 2B for De La Salle. The stats look scary as there may be ballot for Phase 2 B for more than 2km.

You are right that \"PV, clans, GRL\" falls under Phase 2B. None of the group has a priority over the other. When demand is more than supply, distance comes to play and it is a level playing field. None of the group will have any advantage over the other.

Yes, PRs can also apply to PV.

As for distance limit, it really depends on the school you are aiming for. Some schools have very fierce competition even in Phase 2B and may see balloting for those living <2km. So it may not be a pre-requisite but you would want to know your success rate and know what you are up against.

Again the trend may change from year to year and some schools may see balloting only for those staying within 1km in which case if you are not than you will not even have a chance to ballot even if you have fulfilled 40hours of PV

It is best you call the school directly. From my experience, some popular schools close 2 years out. Others generally open application from Jan - June the year before registration. Is your kid starting P1 in 2014?
