Pen88n:
Thanks for the info. I was under the impression that Sheldon skipped either P1 or P2. Read that he was doing secondary school maths at P2 or P3.verykiasu2010:
how did Sheldon from Rosyth (201o Pri 6) skipped one level ? Sheldon is in RI year 1 this year and is one year younger than the cohort and he is last year No 2 PSLE top scorer....(if remember correctly)
Yes, Sheldon was from Rosyth GEP and he skipped either the P4 or P5 level (not sure). Very gifted kid in all areas including music! -
sweetheart:
hi sweetheart mummy,Smartmummy- in spore , kids r allowed to level skip . I know of a handful n my own child has just been level skipped.
I'm looking for a support group here whose children hv been level skipped - anyone?level skip in Pri Sch.. Not sure about pre school though.
can you share more about your experience, since i think many parents are curious and interested too?

I recalled reading in the newspapers. His mom is also gifted. -
Sheldon skipped P1. Both his parents were from GEP and the mom was top O level scorer in her time. Sheldon scored As in O and A level Math before he was 12.

A couple of years ago, a P6 GEP boy obtained As in 3 IGCSE subjects. Anybody knows if he has been accepted by the local universities? Did he skip levels too? -

but for Sheldon, once in a while i hear his name at home because my DS is in same math class as him. -
verykiasu2010:
on second thought, it couldn't be IGCSE but some other more advanced exams. Really confused by all these different exams.

Sheldon should be doing more advanced maths now. Your son must be a Maths whiz to be in the same class as him!but for Sheldon, once in a while i hear his name at home because my DS is in same math class as him.
