Yes, I think every school has different school time but not much differnce in terms of timing.

Actually I prefer the school to operate in single session. Think will have more time for child and parent bonding time, especially we as a FTWM.

            Hi Luanee,
How do you manage your time?
By the time the children reach home, shower, have dinner, then will be almost 9pm, and its time to sleep.
If single session at least we can have dinner earlier then will have more time for chit chating.

Honeybeel, how come urs take so long to shower and have dinner? My girl reaches home ard 7pm and I shower her then take dinner together with her. By 8pm we are done then I would look through her homework and revise some spelling with her. By 9pm we will go home (from my mil place) and watch ch8 show together. She sleeps at 10pm+. What abt urs?

That's my calculation, base on her current rate. My girl eat very slow. She take more than 1 hr to shower, have dinner and so on. I allow her to have 1/2 hr TV time, then left 1/2 hr for chit chatting.

When she go to P1 next year then the 1/2hr chit chat time will be homework time.....Luanee, am I thinking too far?

I think it depends on what time the parents come home. For me, whether single or double session does not matter cos I knock off early like 5.45pm and I will get home around 6.15pm, have dinner like 6.45pm and by 7pm, I will be free.

Currently, as my child is still in pre-school, I still get to watch tv from 7-8pm. Next year onwards, when there is homework and assignments for my P1 gal, maybe I will need to sacrifice my TV time (I am a TV addict)... 😢

Honeybeel, u can chit-chat while showering and having dinner rite? That’s what I do. My girl will shower herself behind the shower glass door while I stand outside (dry) and chat with her about her school activities. Then dinner time, we will continue to chat.

Lucky, I usually leave the TV on while having dinner or doing homework haha… But I managed to catch the 9pm show together with my ger.

Weekends are usually spent playing FB with my girl lol…

My girl is a TV addict , like me. If I leave the TV on, her eyes will be glued to the TV and not on her book. That's y now I will let her watch for an hour during dinner time and turn off by 8pm. I think time management and priotization is very impt for working mums. Also, try to have more work-life balance by going home on time. You need to sacrifice something definitely (eg promotion) to spend more time with yr child...cannot have best of both worlds.
