      Hi cantbearit2,

thanks for your input. I'm going to attend NV's open house next week, so I'll be able to meet the principal and listen to what he's going to say about himself and the school. It's my first time to attend any school open house, so unfortunately I can't make any comparison..... hope he can make a good first time impression on me 🙂
May I know which school did you end up choosing for your DD, did you have to go through balloting?
Since we already know the result of phase 2A, there is around ~15spots more at Compassvale vs Rivervale.
Since both are within 1km from my house, any tips on which school should I choose for my Phase 2C?
      thanks!
Curious where u got the info on open house? I'm thinking of bringing my son to the open house b4 registering online. Thanks

ppl need to substantiate what they say, be it good or bad about any school. we owe it to the students, parents and staffs of the school to be fair.

Both are old teachers, still living in the old ERA.

Oh no wonder.. Still with their traditional teaching ways. I heard from a few parents that the young teachers in this school are very good.

From sources I gathered (other than forum), I think the new teaching method req total mindset change on the part of parents. It’s tough to strike a balance between learning out of the classroom vs producing PSLE ready children. Parents play an impt role in children’s education & I’m looking forward to the new challenges ahead when my son enter P1. Until NVPS produce good results in their 1st batch of PSLE students, I think there is still benefit of doubts. But I’m sure the school aims to prepare well-rounded students beyond PSLE results. IMHO
