My advice is to visit the in school student care. it is very different from those setup outside the school. There's a reason why they can charge lower than outside rate.
SV does not have in school student care.. Those that I went are operated by pte.. thus more expensive.. -

I did source for student care before... looked around for a few months and didn't feel comfortable with them.Castle House:
My MIL is also looking after my 2 other kids.. hehe.. so to ease her load.. we thought of putting him to student care so that at least he can does some work before attending school...
I could be used to CC so find it hard to accept the standards for student care.....
Any particular standards tat is not up to ur expectation?? -
Kissgurami:
Why and what is it that you are not comfortable with?

If your MIL can \"visit\" him, then can pass him something that's cooked and more variety.

I have not visited the student care @ the school yet but I have understood that the children are more comfortable with external operators for various reasons (esp those which also provide childcare).
For us, we just need that extra few hours so DD1 can have proper lunch, do her work before we pick her up. Knowing my girl, she works best when under external supervision (she wl not be picky on food or bargain to do less work when its really minimal -- not even 5mins effort). Thus, the effective & efficient arrangment will still be (1) finish daily work at SC (2) revision @ home if applicable (3) family time. We shall see and adjust accordingly when it comes
