I went in dec 08. I loved it. Waters are clear. Beach is fine white sand. But it’s a pain to get there! Gotta take plane, then boat (and there’s no proper jetty so you may get your feet a little wet - hold your breath when they hurl your bag from the boat to the guy on the shore…) then tuk tuk…then walk to hotel. Stay by the beach coz that’s the main attraction. No need to bring too many clothes coz you will probably spend most of your day at the beach/pool/spa.

Is it advisable to stay in station 1 or statio 2?

I have 2 son aged 12 and 14 yrs and they like water sports.

I stayed at station 2, but the place is not big, you can walk up and down the beach strip very easily. My kids were 1+ and 4+ when we went. I think your older one may have more to do as they have lots of water sports such as kayaking, which the younger one can’t do. But there’s more than enough at the beach to entertain. The water is so clear you can swim after fish!

It can get rather touristy though. Mainly Chinese and Japanese tourists. I went during the off-season, so it wasn’t so crowded. I heard during the peak season, it gets very crowded.

I have gone to Boracay once before when he had no children yet and it was a delight in my opinion. The island was not that big and though there are I think 3 stations, you can pretty much walk to the next station in no time.

There are a lot of options but to be sure, book ahead so that you can get transfers fixed for you already. The plane - car - boat ride was a bit long was definitely worth it. There are a lot of water sports activities available if you are game to try them out.

Yeah. Although the transfers can be a bit of a journey, they are well worth it once you get there. Exploring with family is made really simple by the beautiful coastline and the fact that everything is within walking distance.
