        hi all

Wat does 94 vacancies for Tao Nan mean for parents going for Phase 2C based on past trends, ie. Wat’re the chances of getting a place there? Cos if it’s low, we might consider going for Haig Girls instead during this phase…

94 vacancies left for phase 2b and 2c. which means only 47 vacancies for each phase.

All the best to all of us !!!! 🙏 I hope next week come soon, can't wait to know the answer. :please:

                    Hi all,

May I chk with you…if for eg, in phase 2b, there r 50 vacancies and 70 applicants, what happens to the 20 ppl who dont get in after balloting?

Do they automatically go into phase 2c n get priority over applicants in 2c? Which means they may get to ballot again?

I get different answers fr different ppl so I’m hope someone can clarify my doubts… ;(

Assume that all the 70 fall within the same distance category. If P2C requires balloting for the same distance category, the 20 who didn't manage to get a place in P2B will have to decide whether they still want to register with the school and participate in the balloting.

It is not an automatic thing, and there is no priority in P2C apart from distance. The ability to participate in P2B gives you two opportunities to have a try at the school.

However, in the event that the child doesn't get a place after balloting in P2B and P2C, the parents have the choice of placing the child in the waitlist of the school. If the parents were PVs of the school, the school might place the child higher on the waitlist. But, as far as P2C is concern, NO priority over other applicants in the same distance category.
