LOLMum:
Correct me if I am wrong, I thought last year there was balloting for within 1 km for acps in 2Bi dont think there was any balloting at phase 2b last year for those living within 1 km at acsp.
last year, there was about 20 or 21 vacancies at acsp phase 2b -
Ok, so hope the grass roots only 3 to 5. And all under 2B can successfully get in without ballot.
-
I think the ACJS students come from better /well to do families because the within 1 km locations are eg. Cairhill, Cavenagh, Newton and Peck Hay road - one of the most exp areas in Sgp.
But I do hear that, in terms of academic performance, ACPS is better.
Having said that, I think it is logical to go for sure win bet. -
The newspaper stated that GRLs only takes up < 3% of the total P2B slots. So should be quite safe

kiasu-but-generous:
Double Confirm. 50 PVs.

There may be some drop out from the 50 pvs as some parents did pvs at 2 schools or may consider register at other schools.
Hope no balloting for 2B, keep fingers crossed. -
goodness, how in the world did such parents find time to PV more than 1 school, with each school clocking minimum 40 hrs ? really pei fu (salute) their time management skills and their very hardworking attitude.

So generally they can be on par with Raffles students? I mean we always heard Raffles "fight" with the ACS etc .
I guess each school have it own unique character spirit. -

usually many people tend to compare RI with HCI (Hwa Chong Institute).
lesser people compare RI with ACS. -
In my time RI always compare with ACS in terms of sports, science and debate. Now with the new education path, comparison with HCI more so.
