I was there on Monday at 3.15pm, refused entry by the security guard even though I told him I had arranged to meet #2 outside the bookshop at 3.30pm to buy PE shorts. He only let me in at 3.40pm but told me specifically to wait till all the pupils leave the bookshop before I go inside.

Luckily #2 did not blur blur wait for me and went to the canteen first after he could not find me outside the bookshop and later came to look for me again.

Reason given: yr end printing co they are printing diaries & calendar. I told her then print earlier to beat the jam!!

That's why I got the kids to buy these writing books before the school holidays start.

Last year I overheard a mother complaining to the general office that the class teacher scolded her dd for not submitting a particular book. That particular book was out of stock but the little girl did not know and could not tell the class teacher.

So far, I managed to get whatever is out of stock from Popular Bookstore. No need to go back to the school.

Btw, do you buy the Art n Craft textbook and Music textbook? I bou for #1 P6 this year, ended up not used at all.

Never buy Art n Craft TB but music TB need to use.
Usually P6 dont even use social studies if the teacher is teaching ur child eng, maths or science as well,he/she will use SS period to teach the core subject.

I received the confirmation letter for P1 registration. Orientation 20 Nov 2009, 11am. Phew, luckily no need to ballot, as we are within 1km. Got a scare when the applicants exceeds vaccanies and dh’s cousin said there was balloting for his dd’s registration in yr 2007 (<1km).

My son has gotten a place in Phase 2B.


By the way, any parents have any advice on what to expect during orientation on 20th Nov 09? Are we going to buy books and school uniform that day?
