hi gracierei,
regarding yr qn about 0 risk, ChiefKiasu had replied you:-
http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/event/p1-registration-2012-phase-2b
school website had just refreshed the table, had just allocated 41 seats each under P2B, and P2C:-
http://www.rgps.moe.edu.sg/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&func=view&rid=52943
last yr 2010 for P2C, the table shows that those residing > 1 km no chance to ballot. Only those staying < 1 km can ballot. -
KSP… there are many maths centres to go to but again it depends on yr childs personality too. There are different centres that offer different methods but sometimes our dds may not take to their method of teaching even if they are good.
Most of the girls are at learning lab but some find their worksheets rather difficult, the homework can be kind of heavy at times but neverthless they do benefit frm it. -
coming Monday for those who successfully got in after balloting, maybe can also ask admin staff - how do they assign yr child to P1 classes ?
is it based on sequence of the registration number, according to surname, or in random ? -
Hi Folks,
What are your views on The Learning Lab.... I realised most girls attend this school and my girl pester me to sign up for her.... is it worth is???
Many thanks in advance.moonee:

KSP… I feel that P1 is too early to strt maths at learning lab, kind of stressing for the kid. I feel that p3 onwards would be a better time to start but again depends on yr kid.
While waiting for LL, u can consider Mr lee frm perceptum, heard hes rather good, frankly I wouldnt mind sending my dd there but shes fully committed now. -

Hi all, havent been here for long time. Oh only 41 vacancies this year for 2B ? Wow

hi Luanee,
Yes this year, feel very sad and disappointed for 58 PVs. They really slot their lungs out. They put in so much precious time, effort, energy, great hope. Purposely took precious time & leave off from work (so hard to get the nod approval from their bosses) just to clock up 40 hrs slowly, one by one.
all because cut 1 class.
if never cut, remaining vacancies would have been more, (82 + 30) = 112. Then, 112 /2 = 56, means wld still have 56 vacancies left for P2B, plus another 56 for P2C.
now because cut 1 class, 58 PVs vying for limited 41 vacancies left in P2B. poor thing … 17PVs out. I really feel for them. I do not feel for the unknown number of grassroot leaders coming in last minute, also joining P2B. Because so far, it is this group of 58 PVs that had contributed much to our school.
i do not understand why our school din plan for these 3 yrs ago, when so many parents applied then to join PV.
