Teacher's Day gifts

tamarind:
thanks for info, tamarind.ImMeeMee:
can let me know where to buy? looks like good fun for the girls.
I bought it at the Better Toy Store at Ngee Ann City. Above Kinokuniya book store
They sell lots of interesting arts and craft kits. -
The best teacher's day gift I ever received was a 'customised red pen' with a self-designed computer printout card.
The red pen was an ordinary red pen but the kids took a piece of paper, drew my name on it with colourful markers, wrote their names on the paper & inserted it into the pen
I still keep the pen although the ink has finished
& the card was a very simply designed card made on PPT & printed out. It contained the child's love & determination. I cried when I received the card. -
The best presents I get are from diligent students who do their best to get good results.
Last year Nicola and Edward separately gave me a soft-toy flower each with their names handwritten on a tag on each flower. They are the best gifts I get from the most well-behaved and polite elder sister and younger brother pair.

Red pens/markers are really most practical. Food/snacks is good for teachers who do not have time to eat. Can ask the kid to write 5 things about what he.she likes about the teacher or compose the pointers into a poem on a card and decorate it with a portrait of the teacher…Those fake flowers are usually cast aside in the storeroom by the teachers…

I ever baked chocolate cookies/ cupcakes for my kids teachers (cost saving
). Wrap it in a bag & get the kids to make small cards. I guess red pens & any food items is a blessing to teachers. They don't have the luxury of 1hr lunch time, so thing that they could munch is great i think

Hi, hope it’s okay to post this query here. Teachers Day is coming up and I was wondering if anyone knows of a nice, inexpensive gift? Something under S$5, practical. Last year, I bought towels that looked like swiss rolls.

We'll buy tupperwares and put cookies or cakes in them.My friend sell cheaper TW as she has many stocks at home.
I'm interested in the idea. How can I go about getting the TW from your friend? -
Dear all,
Just read all three pages, phew! Lots of great, practical and inexpensive ideas. Thanks to everyone for sharing. -

Looking at the TW idea too - the teachers can keep the containers for other things.

I know a friend who's also a TW member. Mebbe I can try her. Thanks for the advice! How much discount can Kitty Tan's friend give? -
