      Please help.

      http://www.orlesson.org/orp/10Sc/2010-P6-Sc-SA2-CHS.pdf

Should the answer for question 9 about photosynthesis be (4) instead of (2) as given?

Please advise how to get the answers for questions
      14 - seedlings
      17 - ring magnets
      23 - water - evaporation
      27 - friction.

      TIA.

        Hi P5G

For Q9, I have the same answer as you.

For Q14, going through elimination, I’d weed out

Option(1) — The similar seedlings are used not different ones
Option (3) — From the question, we can infer that the seedlings in the garden soil grow well, there is no sign of water deficiency.
Option(4) is out as they do affect the growth rate.

I’d go for option (2) as can be seen from the data, seedlings in garden soil grow faster.(1.5 to 14.4 as compared to 3.1 to 14.8)

For Q17, I believe you just want to confirm the answer, it is option (1), we cannot conclude that Disc Z is non magnetic.

        Best wishes

              Vanilla cake,

              My 2 cents…
              15 is definitely 2
20 - option A cannot be right, If i want to see clearly , i would use a black board not white for the screen.
so by elimination , 4 is the answer

Lets wait for the experts to comments

                    Hi VC

                    Good Morning.

For Q23, I agree with your answer.

For Q29, option (3) is correct.
Weight refers to the gravitational force acting on an object. The greater the mass, the greater the gravitational force will be acting on it.

                    Best wishes

Thks Uncle Tianzhu, Sun_2010 and Full.Cream for your helpful responses to my earlier P6 Science questions.

Here's another one from http://www.orlesson.org/orp/10Sc/2010-P6-Sc-SA2-CombinedSch.pdf. Pls go to page 5/36 to located this question about photosynthesis of some garden plants in the day.

Answer given is option (2) but I think that it should be option (1).
Pls advise the correct answer for this question and I thank you in advance for your precious time and effort in your response.

                      Good night.

                        Hi VC

During the day, plants photosynthesise more than they respire. Hence, more oxygen and less carbon dioxide.Your answer is correct.

                        Best wishes
