If I am not wrong, the school team results and the ranking of the top 30 individual participants should be announced on 20 August 2011 at the award ceremony, whereas other individual results (whether one receives a certificate of Gold, Silver, Bronze, Honorable Mention or Participation) would be announced on the website of NUSH a few days after.

A goat has a rope attached to its neck. The string, which is 14m long, is attached to a ring, which is attached to a 20m rail. Not including the diameter of the ring, how many square meters of grass can the goat eat?

A goat in a horizontal ground is tied to one end of 14 m long rope. The other end of the rope is attached to a ring which is free to slide along a fixed 20 m long horizontal rail.If the maximum possible area that the goat can graze is x m2, find the value of x.
[Ignore the dimension of the ring and take pi to be 22/7.]

I would assume the rail is fixed and pi = 22/7

So total area includes a rectangle and a circle.

rect = 28 x 20 = 560
circle = 22/7 x 14 x 14 =616
560 + 616 = 1176
