Dear all, My nightmare just started
Can any1 please advise my chance for my DD getting in to SV under P2C, within 1KM, Singaporean. Will the school release the breakdown applicants in terms of 1KM, 1 to 2KM etc? if all applicants are within 1km, will those within 200 or 300 metres have previllage? -

Hi LOLMum1amber:
that's what nearly happend to me last year as well. dont know why it must be dad's, what's wrong with mum's only.
sometimes it is not the various phases that is a headache, bring the wrong documents or missing one documents (especially dh's nric and if he happens to be overseas), then definitely die.
Thanks. Do u mean mum's i/c address is immaterial? I gotta make sure DH in town during that time then. He travels more than half the time.
Do you know where in the MOE website shows this? I read up about the address but don't seem to find this info. Not that I don't believe you but I just tot I'd better be clear in case I miss out other stuff. :thankyou: -

They need the original and a photocopy. Your husband doesn't have to be physically present, only his ORIGINAL IC needs to be present.

To know your chances, you can make calculated guesses using the link above. The min distance is within 1km so even if you live next door to the school it is still considered within 1km. Don't think they will release info about nationality of applicants - how many locals, how many PRs. My guess only.
For this year's info, I am not sure if the school will reveal. Some school seem more willing than others to provide info. -

dear 1amber,
i cant find it on website too.
before i came back for the registration last year,i made a check with the choice school to confirm that i had all the necessary documents (no choice got to be kaisu as no way dh could pass me any missing documents from the other side of the world). was thinking of not bringing dh’s ic in case he needs to travel or i might lose it but was told dh’s nric is a must. they will take address of dad as the official residence. why not mum’s? reply was that’s the rule. till now, i still wonder why?

O dear. Then this info should be made available to all and sundry and not when someone calls in. :scared:

Thanks mummyo, LOLMum and php...
Strange arcade chauvinistic rule. That's right. What's wrong with just mummy's ic? :nunchuk: -
