kong hwa ballot is for 1-2km eh?
That was the case for last year. I don't think we can tell at the moment unless someone has the statistics for applicants in the different distance ranges. Everyone kept saying that it gets harder each year...
We will know by the end of today.... -

Looking at the number, i think the ballot only happens to 1km. Those 1-2km will need to look for alternatives.reiner:

if you stay < 1 km and willing to do grassroot work, should be high chance for Maha Bodhi.
Hi just to check if i join as RC member am i also consider as doing grassroot work or as an active community leader? Please advise. Thanks. -

Hi, this year is the 3rd or 4th year since I monitor the registration, that their phase 2B applications come in line exactly with the seats available. I am starting to feel that this is like number \"fixing\"phtthp:

So seriously, if you can get into grass root, I feel very good chance.
For grassroot, you might want to find out under the grassroot discussion thread. Pls note the timeframe. Eg. must be EM? for at least 1 year before you are entitled to the phase 2B letter,etc.... there are some watch outs there so you might want to find out the details. Don't join for less than 1 year and then you are back to square one. -

Not like match fixing.... It's just that they way they manage their grassroot and SBF applicants on the dot for many years. I really wonder how they do it exactly.
I realised to my horror recently that SHHK actually issues more letter than the places available for one of their schools. In addition to that, there are PV and grassroot. It's obvious that there will definitely have ballot in this case. It's a no brainer. But wonder why they do that.... If they don't give letter, members will be upset? So let the members make their own decision if they want to try their luck ??? But this I feel is still unfair to PV despite them knowing the risk. -
Hi,
Just call KH. Ballot for those within 1km! 56 anxious parents vying for 47 vacancies. -
I called KH as well. Confirmed balloting for <1km on Friday 9am.
It’s 56 applicants (within 1km) against the 47 vacancies. -
So surprise to see so many within 1km under 2B…usually there will be more in the 1-2km range but surely not this one this year !!
