[Seng Kang] Primary Schools
-
my comment is, regardless of the non-ideal comments, which school supposedly seems to match your criteria of CCAs, academic performance, culture etc? if you can’t decide cos there isn’t much significant difference, go for those that you are likely to get in after taking in consideration the travel distance. you are already at the second last stage of registration; either go for ballot and be prepared for Phase 3, or get Phase 2C supp done with and prepare for your kid’s P1 - there isn’t much choice left.
JMHO. -
thank you…i registered Nan Chiau but unsuccessful…will go Anchor Green in phase 2C supp…
-
Remember that for Phase 3, you will be looking for schs together with foreigners, and it will be on a first-come-first-served basis. If you still cannot decide and take no action by then, MOE will decide for you and post your child to whichever sch is nearest to you and has vacancies.

I think these schools are not as bad as you thought... sometimes we hear too much sayings but in actual fact it's otherwise..Hi
Choices left with plently of vacancies are North Spring , Seng Kang Primary or as far as Greendale Primary at Punggol.
What should I do?
hm... have you think of Punggol Primary? -

The next nearest for me is North Spring but wonder why still got over 100 vacancies. Is Punggol Primary good??

...and maybe try to apply for your 1st choice school again for P2... -
Dun loss heart. If you like Nan Chiau, can put your child’s name on the waiting list. Never know last minute somebody will withdraw.
Anchor Green shld be quite good. Hopefully Anchor Green won’t go into balloting in Phase 2C supp. But if you are within 1km, chances will be higher.
Good luck & all the best to you. -

I spoke to few parent about Punggol, no major complaints. As for North Vista, is a pretty new school and they are adepting new method of teaching. I also heard they allow parent to have breakfast with the kids at the same time meet their form teacher before school start.. -
U staying in Sengkang area? If yes, there are still vacancies left for the schools at Sengkang area:
Anchor Green - 78
Fernvale - 80
North Spring - 116
North Vista - 15
Sengkang Primary - 79
I think Anchor Green might go into balloting at Phase 2C supp as alot of positive feedback on the school and principal this year. But think it shld be worth trying. -

What about North Spring? Is this school good?
I am also looking into Edgefield and Greendale Primary. Should I try Edgefield as only 5 vacancies balance? I regret I never been to any open house except Rivervale and now very lost. Should I bring my girl to see this Friday? is it too late?
