I also hoping no need ballot unless today many many GRL suddenly appear from nowhere, which is very likely cos allthe other schools in Bukit Timah are over-subscribed already!

This GRL thing is stressing me out… as we don’t know how many of them are out there!

I didn’t know these days Primary schools hire PRC to teach PE… I thought PRCs are mainly hired in childcare centres to teach chinese.

I feel for the abused boy & his classmates who witnessed the violence. Hope they are coping fine.

i am aware of Mainland chinese being in our working society at different levels, from low skilled to executive/director positions, including education sector.

i found the story on The New Paper and i guess it didn’t blow up to catastrophic level as i expected.

felt it can really happen in any school, just that being it’s in ATS makes the case even more serious.

can any parent shed light on what actually happen? am not exactly inclined to believe exactly what’s in the media.

Can i know what is PV ?? Do we still have to be parent volumteer or join any clan even if stay near school for Aitong ??

PV = Parent Volunteer


To do pv work or join clan is an option if you intend to register your child in the earlier phase 2B. It is not compulsory. Those who live near may do it because they may like to have an additional chance to try for a vacancy in phase 2C if they fail at 2B. Phase 2C is for people who have no connections to the school at all.

This year, Ai Tong has 61 applicants vying for 20 places at 2B. 51 stayed very near the school ie. within 1km. There are another 20 places at 2C but we do not know how many are living near the school.

If your child is 4 years old now, the application for pv at Ai Tong school is open for registration. If you intend to join the clan, I think it might be a little late.
