Wah... if my dd want to paktor at 13yr old... I sure drill the boy until jiat lat jiat lat...
when they grow up, very hard to control one.
my other niece, not the young pretty eyes one, the 13 yr old one, told me the other day she wants to have boyfriend already, cos all her friends have.
her parents also cannot do anything at this young age, what more when she grow up?
i think as long as they are good people and love each other... i don't ask for too much.
somemore my dd got pretty eyes one... haha... *hao lian* -

I don't know, i think being Singaporean is really uniquely Singaporean. We were overseas 3 yrs cos of Dh. That was when I gave up my job too. Left with him and the boys to USA first. 2 yrs. Then China 1 yr.
We did enjoy the touring a lot. The experiences were very memorable.
However, when in USA, even though brought up reading American books and watching American shows, plus being able to easily pick up their lingo, I still don't feel like one of them. Something is always missing. That feeling is besides some other inconveniences which I take for granted back home here that can't be found there.
Food was something I constantly missed and craved for and tried to replicate in the home but with different ingredients, the combi just doesn't come out the same, like laksa...
When we moved to China, I thought food-wise would be better, and maybe with the same skin colour as the majority in China, perhaps will feel more at home.
I was very wrong. Can speak the language doesn't mean feeling at home. The food was still never the same. I just cannot find the correct taste, whether in the restaurants (even though called Singaporean) or at home.
And wherever you go, people there still view you as a foreigner. Whether USA or CHina.
So when I got pregnant, even though Dh was not done there, we decided to pack up and come home.
It's great to be back home despite the heat and humidity and crowds here. Nothing beats this feeling... -
