      into the carpark?

No, So far I don't think members of public are allowed to go into the carpark. The driveway porch is just before the carpark entrance.

Hi pinkapple, hope this helps and is not too late.

If you want to avoid the steps right in front of the school entrance, walk up/direct whoever dropping you off to drive up Zubir Zaid Drive (which is uphill). There is a roundabout which you can drop off. Refer to map at http://www.sota.edu.sg/Contact/tabid/286/Default.aspx

From there, you will see a long escalator. If you do not wish to use the escalator, go to behind the escalator and there is a security post. Ask the security guards to direct you to the lifts.

              Hi

Can any kind parents or parents with kids in SOTA visual arts recommend me for any goood arts school (besides Nafa and arts graine) or qualified arts teacher who can groom my child to get into SOTA? The art school should be experienced in helping children to develop their portfolio eg fine art, western painting, sculpture & etc, teaching drawing and painting techniques. Don’t want the kiddish art & craft type, which emphasizes on fun only. U can pm to me. Thanks alot.

Last night accompanied my wife to attend SOTA Arts Festival 2011-Dance. The showcase display was fullhouse. So fortunate managed to get 2 tickets thru her close links with local arts practioneers.

My wife is an avid concert goer and is also an admirer of SCGS ballet and modern dance among all mainstrean schs. The programme was divided into three sections comprising of ballet, modern and contemporary dance with intervals of 20 mins and 15 mins respectively. Was told to lookout for the students’ works in the areas of techniques, presentation, stamina and contributions frm well-known practioneers in the areas of choregraphy and dance improvisation.

Hope MOE can recruit these grads to teach in our schs in future.

CO means confirm offer. Yes, DD is waiting for CO from them, she said TA was not easy. 😓
