Just bought a spi bag for my boy going to P1 next yr..a bit too early but can't wait as there's a $40 discount.

Yup, kinder fun at united sq. But 2weeks+ ago. Not sure is the promo still on or not..think they have this kind of promo from time to time.

No. Is it gd? He has many pencil cases right now, some are gifts so not going to buy anymore. Btw I bought the spi active, not the usual boxy kind.

My DD1 is on the skinny side, so trying to buy a bag that's not too bulky and able to protect her back. She's very girly, so the bag must be feminine :faint:

She does not need to bring stationary to school so does not have suitable pencil box, so was just checking if you bought their pencil case.

My boy is very small size so we got the size s spi active. They have the pink one too, quite sweet looking. U can shortlist that. It's 89 after the discount. Hope it can last till P3 at least.

Hi Mummies,

The SPI ‘small’ bag can be used from P1-2…subsequently you can trade it in for a new one when they go to P3. Really good deal.
My kids both have the SPI active (matt) one. As for the pencil case, it is the boxy one which can keep stapler, scissors and ruler.

Can anyone tell me about SPI bags? I m keen to get for my DD for next year P1. Also to check, is it a "trend" to get the SPI bags? Those bags with cartoons are no longer popular???

Wouldn't say it's a trend...just that with school bags getting so heavy now, parents will tend to get bags with spinal protection. There is this brand Deuter which I understand is not bad. SPI also has Lego designs for both girls and boys...but Lego for boys is nicer.

Hope it can last till P3 at least. :)[/quote]I pop by today, shortlisted 2 pink ones. One is S size and the other is M size. Will bring DD1 to look at them once I decided SPI or Deuter.

The promotion is now for UOB cards, 15%. But she did mention about the National Day sale, so if I can make up my mind by then will get it for her.
