      sleepy:
I prefer AM session. PM is quite rush. Only about two productive hours at home in the morning. Then need to go to school. Evening too tired to do anything after so many hours in school. Hard to squeeze in enrichment class in morning (too rushed) or evening (too tired)

Exactly - I also prefer morning session. My gal told me that sometimes she would feel tired and sleepy after her recess (330pm)..

Yup, you got that in a nutshell sleepy.. πŸ˜‰

One thing to add though, for P1 kiddies who
aren't used to waking up very early the PM
        session suits them fine.

Anyways, eventually all schools here will be
single session. No need to think anymore..
        Hehee.. πŸ˜‰

titank, some schools wud have already

converted to single session before that
time... some already are now. The rest
wud still be in transition like my DDs'
school already next year, P3 to P6 AM
and P1/P2 PM. So by following year or
the next shud be all AM liao. That's one
reason for some schools' reduced intake.
Make sure enuf space for everybody by
the time everyone goes into single session. πŸ˜‰

              Hi Buds,

I had ever ask MOE when all schools would go single session, they said that would depends on the following parameters.

              (1)\tEmploying more Teachers.
              (2)\tConstruct more schools.
(3)\t Reduce the volume of intake every year.

It seem they are taking Step 3 more than Step 1 & 2. Yes hopefully everyone have a space.

                Hi Titank!

MOE has to make sure there is space for everyone because of compulsory primary education. The only question is - where..... πŸ˜“

                  Yes, u r very right....question is 'where'....coz most
parents cannot settle for just 'any' schools.

Before going through this P1 registration, I never
understood the agony of the stress till I personally
endured all these analysis making, sleepless nights
                  & finally the ballot day.....sigh.

thank God its all over for me.... πŸ™

This is also the reason why some schools hafta relocate temporarily
for major renovation work to improvise the school compounds and
mebbe size too if space willing and enhance physical school features.

If given a choice, AM will benefit the whole family. Children just have to get up earlier to school and after that, the rest of the day is theirs

Parents and caregivers can plan their things better as the time is more flexible and hence lesser stress too

Actually I think am or pm not much diff for FTWMs… Even if they are in the am session and have the whole afternoon off, I still wont be able to bring them out for enrichment classes or other activities…
