      Andaiz:
Getting a good hug or cuddle from DH works for me :hugs: OUr girls have seen this often enough and if they are upset or unhappy, they'd ask outright: \"Mummy / Daddy, can I have a hug please?\"

For me, a warm shower usually puts me in better stead to deal with home stuff πŸ˜‰
      Heyya Andaiz, me two.. πŸ˜‰

          winth:
Might sound weird, I don't know...

I go for haircuts whenever I feel stressed up.
It usually makes me feel better after all my troubles are cut away.

On days when I do not have hair to cut (too short liao mar), I do something else to my hair.

Have tried numerous attempts to grow long hair, but always fail... sigh...
If not cutting, can also get a good head rub/wash at the salon..
Winth, mebbe for bald people totally no stress? And they must
be very confident people too, to carry a hair style not everyone
          can handle. 😎

haha these are what I can do to destress if baby dd2 sleeps longer:

            1) bath in crabtree and evelyn shower gel and moisturize with the rose body
lotion so that I will smell good
            2) put on facial mask so that I will look more refreshed
            3) drink a sweet drink(organic soy milk or Milo) to sweeten my stress
            4) surf youtube for my favourite songs or watch Korean dramas to drown
            the gloom
            5) sms my frens to disturb them πŸ˜„

If my mum takes leave and can take care off of dds, I will head to the hair salon for hair treatment or go for retail therapy 😎

              Aquamarine:
Thanks all for your advice πŸ˜‰

My DD is 5 now so it's hard for her to understand mummy's stress....

              ....
don't underestimate the \"power\" of your DD. She may not understand you completely, but sometimes by talking about what is stressing us would help ease it. Give it a try.

some weeks back when I was feeling down, I told my 6 yr old boy that \"daddy is feeling sad today, so may not be very fun to play with\"

he came over to give me a big hug & patted my back saying, \"dont be sad, its ok, i'm here with you. its ok ... \" and kissed me to make me feel better

Bring the kids out for a walk, they love hunting for mimosas and crunching leaves.

Bring them for a dip in the pool
                Go for a swim myself
Play computer games usually download those trial from bigfish games
                Play boardgames with the kids
sit on my massage chair with a good book
                Bake something
And of course have a good shag and cuddle with DH

                  Hi funz,

                  I saw a similarity here!

                  funz:
Play computer games usually download those trial from bigfish games
You should go to wildgames.com (they provide 2 free trials) with no time limit.

If I remember correctly, there is a 2 hour time limit for the game you download right?

                  I love time management games!

But I dun play them when I'm stressed lar...
I play them when I close a case, so reward my next half a day with just games. Or I play when I dun have to go in-laws place for dinner.
So u see, it's more to reward myself than to de-stress.

hehe. 1hr trial enuf lah. or else will be playing the whole nite. can get quite addictive, these games. For games that are really engaging, I will buy them.

I like time management games too, but prefer those that need strategy instead of just pure speed. Farm Frenzy, Diners Dash, Build-a-lot,..... tried all oredi. Search games oso interesting. But cannot play those simulation games, makes me nauseous

I think just looking at the face of your really cute little kids can be destressing enough…

Ah yes... nothing can stop me from smiling after a hard day when my daughter gives me her sweet I-love-daddy grin.
