For the past 2 years NYGH was the school with the highest S1 COP . Just wondering how is this possible if most still prefer RGS ?

The S1 Central Posting COP does not include students who entered via DSA and students who entered via affiliated primary schools.

NYGH's COP for NYPS girls is 250, so they would have taken up some of the vacancies resulting in a smaller intake for S1 Central Posting thereby pushing up the COP some.

Students who prefer RGS and were successful at DSA do not count towards the S1 Central Posting stated COP.

The COP difference between the two schools is just a couple of points, so not that significant.

Finally, maybe the people who have expressed interest in RGS are more vocal than those who are interested in NYGH? 😉

          NJmom,

Don't think you need to worry too much. Understand from my DD that although the GEP girls (> 80%) have received CO from NYGH, majority are only interested in RGS CO and NYGH CO (no offence) is purely for backup should they are unable to get RGS CO. Even if your DD is placed on waiting list, the chances of getting into NYGH is very high. I am sure your DD will get into NYGH. All the best.

Just a note, NYGH and RGS do not have waiting lists, unlike HCI and RI.

Then what will happen to the CO places not taken up ?

What is RGS's COP for girls from RGPS ?

It goes back into the pool for S1 Central Posting.

We’are all done with DSA. Finding myself waiting for Aug’s DSA results. Seems like it’s going to be a long wait. A call for patience!

From the admin office, there will be direction for you to proceed to the youth block. The interview will be held there.

And best of luck to both your DSs!
