any of ur baby still on pacifier ?? i really dunno how to wean this off with DS. he still need it whenever he is going to sleep/nap.. else he will cry.. i've tried resisting it. he cried for that 1 hour .. whole 1 hour. i gave up.. now, still sucking at night/afternoon nap..
How we wean it off for DD1 is when we change the pacifier to the for 1yr old n she din like it. She did cried for her old pacifier but mummy already throw away
. So we just endure the crying everynite for abt 3-4 days.
My brother got a more superb method he used it on his DD when she was 2 yr old. His DD is those that suck on to her pacifier day n nite, so one day he dip the pacifier on chili sauce n give it to her fr then she never ask for pacifier again.
Now my DD2 still on pacifier , wonder if I should try my bro method when she turn 2 :rotflmao: . -
my DS throws away his pacifier when he turns 16 months. So i guess he wean it off himself. we just let him be.
by the way, my DS, now 18 months, has yet to call mama/papa definitely. he cannot speak any other words except for mum-mum (meaning eat eat)
have yours called you yet? -

mine tends to use non-verbal gestures to communicate, like grunting, pulling, pointing or pushing me to the place he wants me to go. it will be more better if he can speak, else still need to guess. sometimes it causes lots of frustrations!

Well, when he points at stuff, you can say, oh you want this and this? This is xxx. If you want this you can say Mummy may I have xxx
Try it for a few months and see if there's any result

So i guess he wean it off himself. we just let him be.
