[Bukit Timah] Primary Schools

spikey:
how about I wait till Friday the last day to register cos by Thursday I should be able to call the school and find out how many have applied and their home distance from the school? Then I wont have to register and then withdraw later?jeanieg:
Now that 2B is over, and there was balloting for those staying within 1km for MGS, does it mean that for someone like me who lives 1-2km away and registering in 2C, there is absolutely no hope at all? Cos if that's the case then I wont even bother to try.
what I suggest is you register for MGS on the first day morning, standby on the very last day to determine whether to try, after checking the latest results at 4 pm on Friday. Best to have one parent at MGS and another parent at the other school - both must be equipped with a set of documents. -

You may also adopt this strategy. Situation may be clearer in the afternoon of the third day. -
there are a few Methodist christian schools in SG, like:-
- MGS (Bukit Timah),
- Fairfield Methodist,
- Paya Lebar Methodist,
- Geylang Methodist,
- etc.
but why is it that in the eyes of parents - amongst all Methodist schools, seem like MGS (Bukit Timah) is deemed the best so far ? Sorry, no offence to other Methodist schools.
is it bec MGS (Bukit Timah) - the syllabus taught s different, teaching method different, teachers good or what ? what is it that sets it apart ? why couldn’t the Methodist HQ ensure that same standard is maintained throughout all Methodist branches in SG ?
my friend teaching in MGS (BT) said the girls are well groomed, don’t utter a word of Singlish. All speak proper English. -

Not first come first served. Balloting if number of applicants exceed number of vacancies. -
mummyo, ok, noted.
Went for the RGPS reg this morning and saw many PRs already there, probably within 1 km. Many Indians, a few ang mohs, even a Chinese couple.
So my guess is PRs going to make bulk of <1km reg.
There was 5 who are >2km also reg!! -
Mummies, I'm to RGPS now to register my gal. Wish me luck! :xedfingers:
-
a number of them stay around Bukit Timah First Ave, Fifth Ave, Sixth Ave.
-
Hotchix and all others registering at RGPS,
wish each & everyone ALL the VERY BEST!
