        MintyMin:
For phtthp, my Pal and nettie:

This is wat i found from maths hub:

        IQ Maths

Is the IQ Maths Program related to the school syllabus?

It is mostly related. However, the differences lie in our problem solving questions being of higher order involving larger values and the IQ questions of counting triangles and squares are out of school coverage.

Will my child be allowed to transfer from the P2 IQ class to P2 Competition class when he/she finds it too easy for him/her?

Yes, this is possible, provided there is vacancy in the competition class. Difference in fees, if any, would have to be topped up.

        What is IQ Mathematics Program?

The IQ MathsProgram is an integrated program designed to instill interest in Mathematics. The program is formulated for K1-P2 students and not only consists of worksheets but also involves hands-on activites such as games, tangram models and origami, to make every lesson fun and enriching.
pal... can link me to the website.. . the one your ds and dd1 are attending.. so that I go to the correct program.. hehe

Yes micollh, we may not see the improvement compared to yesterday or last week, but think back few months back and hopefully we get some consolation…hahaa…

I find that as they get older, they also get more defiant, really not easy to get them to sit down and ‘guai guai’ do work. My gals will ask for their fruits/yogurt/yakult before starting their work…but funnily they can also be quite disciplined in the sense that when I teach one, the other one will not touch her share of the fruits/yogurt/yakult until it’s her turn to do work…

BTW, how often do you mummies let them drink Yakult? I know it can trigger phlegm and my gals, especially the younger one is prone to cough due to allergy and sensitive airways. What about those multivit gummies? Good or just as bad as another piece of candy?

Ya, last time we also buy the less sweet vitagen, but dun know why, they get cough from drinking it. So we stop for a while, and when we try Yakult, seems not so bad….they also LOVE the panda biscults with strawberry filling. Other than this, they hardly ever eat ice-cream, chocolate, lollipops or other sweets.

Saw your post about using P&J readers. I also have them, for lower levels with few words, can try 3-5 pages each day, for higher levels (think from level 6 onwards), try 1 page a day. Like that it will take about 1 year to finish level 1-12.
