My gals stay back 2-3 times per week for remedial, enrichment and also for the niche CCA prog. I can tell that they do enjoy the extra lessons..in fact, I know that some parents request to let their gals attend the extra remedial classes but are not granted. The teachers usu try to keep the class size small so that the weaker gals can get the necessary attentions.

I am relieved my daughter has been identified for extra remedial...seems a little :yikes: to start remedial at P1, but grateful that IJ TP believes in giving that extra support early.
After the test in May, there was a revamp for Chinese. My daughter's class has just 16 (including her)...on top of that, she has remedial for CL every Thur. I've see an improvement.
She has Math & Eng remedial on Fridays.

My P2 gal has chinese remedial every thursday too and I have also seen an improvement in her Chinese from (P1 SA2 to P2 SA1)..I was contemplating to send her to extra pte tuition classes but now I think I trust that her sch remedial will help her to brush up her chinese...and I save time and $$ as well.

It's easier to teach my daughter tingxie now.

Pigtabbiit, I also intend to enroll my girl in this sch too. So far I know quite a number of teachers there also put their children in this sch. That mean must be good 🙂

            Hi Junemum,

Wow, that's a piece of good news for me. I really dunno much about this school and didnt go for their open house today.
Are you going to register her this year?

Hello, my girl's dentist also recommended CHIJ Kellock as her girl is also there. Hope this is another reassurance. 😄

I was really having doubts if I should go ahead to enroll my girl there. The school next door (RMPS) was like so popular and makes me wonder if my choice will be right.
This P1 registration is causing me sleepless night. Didnt know it can be so scary and stressful.
              :thankyou:

                Dear All,

Thank you for your posts - i was searching up and down to convince myself that going for CHIJ Kellock at 2C registration tomorrow is a good choice cos RMPS seems so much more popular. My colleagues also put down CHIJ Kellock saying its lower than GESPS and Zhangde in terms of performance.

Hoping for the best in 2C.

                  Hi tafmummy,
I was in a dilemma whether to register my daughter in IJ Kellock or TP...was at IJ Kellock for 8 months before moving to IJ TP in 1984 (P6). In the end, I decided on IJ TP.

Can't speak for IJ Kellock but the standard at IJ TP is rather high.
Although there is no CA nor SA at P1, the school has summative tests to assess the girls. The first one was done in May and there will be another one next month in Aug...really 'on'. I thought P1 will be 'honeymoon' but afraid to say I'm not experiencing any.

                    Hi Everyone,

We will be registering our daughter for primary one next year. Just wondering, being Catholics, does that mean that we will automatically be in phase 2B regardless of which convent school we choose?
