Hi mummies,
Saw a enrichment centre by the name of eduKate in Tampines. School fees are rather reasonable but I can’t find any review on this tuition centre. They have another 2 branches in Ponggol and MBS. Any mummies heard of EduKate? Any comments about this centre?

RE: 2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take
Hi everyone,
Like all of you we will be registering my daughter for primary 1 next year. We have just completed her K2 registration for next and now we have to start stressing over choosing primary schools. We were rejected for PV from St Hilda’s even though we lived less than 1 km from the school. Wonder why are these schools are called neighbourhood schools when folks like us who lived so near don’t even stand a chance into getting in. That sure doesn’t sound right to me. It defeats the purpose of calling it a neighborhood school.
Some of our friends who has gone through this path suggested that we look for schools with strong Secondary schools affiliation but we are not too sure which schools to look at. We’ve been away in KL for the past 9 years so we feel quite lost actually. I am actually an old girl from Katong Convent but feedback about the Secondary school don’t sound happening at all. Can anyone of you give your take on this. Many thanks. -
RE: CHIJ Family of Schools
Hi Everyone,
We will be registering our daughter for primary one next year. Just wondering, being Catholics, does that mean that we will automatically be in phase 2B regardless of which convent school we choose? -
RE: Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)
Hi Everyone,
I have 2 girls aged 5 and 3. Currently we are living in Kuala Lumpur. We will be coming back to Singapore end November this year. My concern is that my older girl is not very keen on Mandarin. We send her for Saturday classes in Skylace in KL but she cries a lot before entering the class. We don’t really speak Mandarin at home so now I am worried that she will really fall behind when she starts K2 next year in Soka Kindergarten. Any parents have similar experiences? How did you handle it? Any good Chinese Language Centres to recommend? We will be staying in Tampines when we come back. -
RE: [Tampines] Primary Schools
Thanks BigDevil. I guess it’s either St Anthony’s or Katong Convent for me than.

RE: [Tampines] Primary Schools
We have put in our submissions for PV since last year. As of now, we have yet to hear from the school. Will probably give the school a call next week when the new term starts.

RE: [Tampines] Primary Schools
Hi everyone,
I will be enrolling my 2006 daughter into primary 1 come 2013. Do all PVs’ staying within 1 km of St.Hildas’ successful in their application? Just wondering about my chances cause if it is not possible at all; I will just put her in St Anthony’s Bedok or Katong Convent. -
