      Mandarin:
either a confirmed or waitlist offer. Both types of offers were handed out in the meeting with P last year.

oic, and we thought it is already confirmed. aiya, more suspense now  -waitlist or confirmed?

I remember years ago, I bought 4D based on an inspiration from someone. That night, teletext decided to play a prank, one entry displayed only 3 nos. which tallied to the ticket I had, I kept waiting for the screen to refresh itself. In the end, hubby drove me to the nearest petrol kiosk to buy the wanbao. Not first prize, but the anticipation was like this round too.

If I am not wrong, for last year, the wordings from the admin staff go like this :

        - For confirmed offer, "your son has been successful…"
        - For waitlist offer, "your son has been shortlisted…"

I know the suspense, I have been through it last year. And a few of the mothers were comparing the wordings, trying very hard to recall the brief conversation…

Just came back from ACS(I). What happened is there are two groups- confirmed offers and waitlist offers to meet at LT1 n LT2 respectively.

There were over 700 applications, 90 IP places and 54 'O' levels places for DSA exercise. Today the sch gave out 45 confirmed offers for IP. There wld be more offers made over the next two weeks. So for those who have not recd any news, there is still a chance.

Among those attended today, I counted 21 are from feeder schs.

The scholarship cutoff point is PSLE 264.

Hubby wishes #1 wld accept ACS(I). #1 is more inclined to NUSH. If NUSH also offers, we hv decided to go ask God for advice

Thanks for the update Jennifer. So your son is offered a place in the IB programme? Congrats!

So of the 45 confirmed places given out today, about half were to students from ACSJ and ACSP. That’s quite a fair number. I suppose majority of these are probably the GEP students.

                  Congratulations !

You will probably be in the same situation as me last year, with offers from both ACSI and NUSH. All the best to you and your son in his final selection.

                    Yes, we are all happy.

Not too sure abt the GEP portion. There are a few from St. Hilda's, Nanyang and Tao Nan. Some from neighbourhood schs like Princess Elizabeth and Causaurina.

The IB prog and NUS High programmes are so different, your son really has to think carefully. If his forte is in Math and Science and he truly enjoys those subjects, then NUS High would suit him. The IB programme is more broad-based and project-based, so a strong command of English would serve him well. The other consideraton is that the IB diploma is recognized worldwide whereas the NUSH diploma is less well-known, although they are trying to get their name out there.
