Tired…super tired…Was on MC yesterday as din slept well the previous night and go bad headache. Sigh…the start of P2C registration…I will be going on the last day.

Another issue is with my youngest one…had successfully wean him off pacifier some time ago but he ended up crying in the middle of the night for many days. No choice, we gave him milk and he used the teat as pacifier and suckle for a long time even when he dozed off. Refused to let go of the milk bottle. I am worried abt tooth decay.

So yesterday made a drastic decision…all 3 kiddos will do away with milk bottle. All drink milk from cups. And also I restort back to giving him pacifier so as to have peaceful nights…Shucks! Din know weaning DS2 pacifier can be such a tough process…

yah, bad idea to sleep with milk bottle...really bad for the teeth. is DS2 sleeping with you? last time DS also dun sleep well when he's alone, can wake up every 1.5hr for milk! then i shifted him to sleep with us, and he dun wake up so often already.

maybe it's juz a phase...try aft a few days to see if can wean him off the pacifier. if u apply something bitter or spicy on it, maybe he will throw it away on his own?

DS wean off the pacifier, sarong and stroller after he pukes in them. :sick:

maybe he's not ready?
u can try cut the pacifier at the top to make it abit sharp so when he sucks will be painful, then u can say his pacifier say time to stop since it's broken?
i did that on DS and he really stop

Probably he is not ready. Both his brother and sister weaned off pacifier at age 2 and they only took max 2 days to get over it. I thought DS2 will be the same...Maybe this cow boy is much more stubborn than his siblings...

I tried cutting away his pacifier and he weaned off but turned to suckling the milk bottle teat as comfort. We tried to replace the milk with water in the bottle but he cried badly. All of us sleeps in the same room so I do not want him to wake up his brother and sis. And he is very stubborn, can cry the whole night if we insist. The lack of sleep is really taking a toll on me...so give up...let him use the pacifer which is the lesser of 2 evils.

He already off pacifer but turned to milk bottle lor..that is why I kanchiong le...scared of tooth decay and also he kept waking up to ask for milk. DS1 and DD are ok with drinking from cup though they took longer to finish their milk. DS2, he drank a bit of milk from cup...hopefully he can get used to it soon and I can throw away all the milk bottles.

We introduced pacifier to him from last night and he slept right thru! So pacifier will be here to stay for a longer while than expected... :gloomy:

tigger jie.. guess he is not ready bah.. juz give him pacifier.. my DS also wean off on his own leh for pacifier.. but he still drinks milk frm bottle.. i tink by forcing them to wean off will b hard for both him n urself.. :hugs:
