My girl learning violin since last year. It has been a year now. Don't know why one fine day she requested for it. I, all along have the intention to let her learn piano when she gets older, but since she asked for violin then i guessed we need to respect her choices bah.

Swimming - I also intend to let her start later. Think maybe wait for my boy to be older, then the 2 of them can learn together. šŸ™‚

my DD is with Yamaha too , very relax and fun , and the music centre < 5 mins walking distance from ur home ,very relax for me too ..
btw,i suppose we have to complete the 3 yrs course before take up the individual piano / violin , and violin is the ECCA in most of Primary school , hence it might not be a need to learn violin at such young age ?
hope some parents can enlighthen me .

i m also stress reading this thread ...
resources are limited ,time, money, effort ,emotional ,etc..so i guess we have to focus on what is the most important .
i prefer my DD to be indepandent reader & speak english fluently as we are chinese speaking family, and so i have signed up with Lcentral hoping that she will be in good hand .
as for math , i have not started doing anything with her.....

Yours is 3 yrs course? Not every school has violin as CCA. I'm also not sure if there's any selection criteria for such CCA.

If your DD shows talent, you might want to start earlier because can be used as DSA option.
