Travel: USA - Florida/Orlando
-
so, in summary, if booking is made now for Nov / Dec travel to Orlando
UA is S$2642 / adult
Qatar is $2446 / adult
Emirates is $2523 / adult
Each airlineβs transit time / airport is different, depends on personal preferences and amount of time available to loiter around the transit point -

Why dun you consider USA West Coast for a start ? I was initially contemplating to go Orlando as well as have been to West for couple of times already. However, after much discussion, still decided to settle for West as child has yet to travel to USA. DH is afraid DD might not used to long haul flight. To West Coast, is 18.5 hours already, cannot imagine to Orlando. :snooze:
In the end, booked with Dynasty Travel for 14 days trip to West Coast this coming Dec, some more got free Air Macau tickets to Macau.. Good Deal :boogie:
how old is your DD? -
connection wise, UA is probably better, but aircrafts are older, miserable IFE, but airport lounges are ok
emirates and qatar got quite new aircrafts, esp for emirates, get to ride on the A380, very quiet and comfortable, service level is like SQ
experience of pilots to handle emergency is probably better by UA
Etihad airline crashed a brand new plane when taking delivery some time back (2007) -

P3 quite safe what. she would be able to spend her time on flight between in flight movies, reading novel, sleeping and eating. Moreover, most SG-US flights will transit in Japan.

you transit in Japan because those flights are of american airlines origin (and far east origin like SQ) and their hub is NRT. if you fly Air China, transit in Beijing, or China Eastern, transit Shanghai -- all got very very cheap fares to the US

if you fly by middle eastern airlines, they transit in dubai / doha
in fact emirates see themselves as the 'centre' of the world for their flight planning - every destination is within a direct non-stop flight away from Dubai -

Planning is half the fun, I reckonSounds like very stressful to plan for a trip.
I have been monitoring air tickets to Washington. So far, Qatar Airways is the best.
I better talk to myself and hubby everyday about the trip, to keep the momentum going.
Otherwise..... we will likely end up in Genting....

London and Paris, any day of the week, is more interesting than California. And....if you reallllly must, there is a Paris Disneyland you can go to.
I am also very headache now deciding between going to London & Paris or to California!
