:congrats:
From not knowing its existence just 2 months back, I have become a big fan of KSP in the short span of time. A big :thankyou: to all wonderful parents/parents-to-be/professionals/students (the youngest is in Primary school  ) who have shared selflessly their experiences and advices in this forum; I have learnt and benefited a great deal and I am sure many others would have too.
To CKS and gang:
Keep up the good work and :celebrate: -
Congratulations!!
Thanks so much to this website, I'm able to do alot of research and plan which school to register my son into. It made me realise that I'm NOT alone, and I've found support which I needed here.
Thanks again, and I know I will continue to visit this website for information and more emotional support from all the members out there!!

. She's in Sec 1 now... but she was Primary 6 when she joined. A really amazing girl with an incredible maturity for her age.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone! 10K is not big compared to the very established and better funded parenting portals we have in Singapore alone, but that also makes it fun for us because we get to know most of the individuals in our community - almost like a family!
BTW... insider... it is only on the 3rd reading that I finally understood your Chinese words... \"A thousand miles journey begins with a single step\". Issit? My Chinese really terak. -

... You considering getting a membership fee from those of us who are willing to sign up to be a Gold Member (but whatever you want to term it) to get a little revenue for your hardwork (can imagine no mean feat to keep this KSP well organised and as 'fire free' as possible). Probably something like new sign up enjoys 1 to 3 months free membership and if want to continue, then pay a small fee... Me will be among the first to pay to show my support...
Whoah! Thanks for your very kind offer... got money take ah!
But seriously, we have no intention of charging for our membership at all, even in the long term. It does not gel well with our fundamental objective, which is to inspire as many parents in Singapore as possible to take greater interest in our children's learning journey. Paying for access to information runs counter to this goal of ours.
We're in the process of engaging a firm to manage our media spaces, the purpose being to get more revenue to defray our rising hosting charges - our current hosting partner wants to charge us an additional 600% per month! We don't blame them because we have really been consuming that amount of bandwidth and processor cycles... but it is still a lot of money. If your access to KSP.com suddenly becomes slow in the next few weeks... that means we are unwilling to pay the additional fees
.

Does that mean that your penguine will belly shake once every two seconds instead of its current belly shake in every 1/3 of a sec?
Thank you for providing such a valuable platform to allow sharing of parenting issues so that \"newer\" parents do not need to reinvent the wheel ... Do raise a flag if the running cost is beginning to be a concern... I'm sure there'd be more than a handful of members here willing to do their part :grphug: -

digress a bit, but i can't help being reminded of CKS whenever i watch The Penguins of Madagascar...somehow, http://www.nick.com/shows/penguins-of-madagascar/skipper.jhtml reminds me of CKS...in person... :!:

Thks so much to Chief for forming this great place that clueless parents like me can take reference too. :lovesite:
Kudos to the many parents who has so selflessly share their time and advise. :celebrate:
Visiting this forum is like taking Vit pills to me now... must take daily or feel like something not rite
Once again :thankyou: -
All that needs to be said
About the incredible aid
That kiasuparents.com brings
Are not trivial things
Some of us needs more
Some of us pour
But whatever it is
It certainly brings peace
To struggling minds
As it binds
And as it cements
The common sentiments
Of all parents alike
When we all go yike! :celebrate:
:thankyou:
