Ya lar.. compulsory what?

But was told that parents can write in should the
child already have prior engagements with external
enrichment vendors or private music lessons that they
have been attending for a long time. Case by case basis la.
The children can be exempted then.. must be good excuse. -
Thanks Senior…
This Compulsory… Supp… thingy also apply to P1 students?
Then need to consider whether still wants to put ds to BASC le… -
Nope. Not at P1.. :nailbite:
The current school up North starts from P3.
A friend's daughter in Greenridge Primary has
supp lessons from P4 onwards.. this means it
is really subjective to individual school. -

No worries, Castle House.
Your child will enjoy his time there.
Lucky you got in via earlier phase.. :hugs: -
For supplementary classes, better to check with school’s parents, and not every parent knows … I’ve asked before but not got much answer. Generally, schools will give supplementary classes at P5. But some schools start earlier and selectively (like to banded class). Eg, I know Henry Park has some extra chinese classes for P2 (maybe selected kids, who knows). All these extra classes can be considered optional but would the parent want to say no? Those weaker students need to go for remedial classes.
As for why SV is still so popular … think of the schools that’s within 1km of the folks staying at Teck Why area and ard there… SV is the only school considerable. People will want to give it a gamble. Based on past history, there would be places in the other schools in 2C supp. So, they’ll try first and then go to the other schools in 2C supp. Also, the numbers may change by day 3 when people withdraw and apply elsewhere. But somehow, the past yr’s history may not be repeat this yr. With reduction in SV’s places and DLS in a holding place, parents go to other schools like Unity, and hence there’s balloting this yr. Last yr, those < 1km for Unity all got in whereas there was ballot in Yew Tee with a good chance of getting in. CCK also did not have any ballot for the past 2 yrs (if I remember correctly). -

Yes.. I am very lucky.. and fortunate.. -
Anyone know where we can get the breakdown of how many of the applicants are within 1 km?
-
You can only call the school to ask…
-
[quote=\"mcmd\"]unity -105 within 1km and 2 between 1 to 2km...so confirm ballot within 1km and more than 1km have to drop out to other.

We have to call the school to know the figures like how many applicants are within 1km? Hope my neighbour will not need to go through the balloting :xedfingers:
