P3 parents, anyone going for the 5 Science enrichment lessons which will be conducted during Aug-Sep in the school by a private centre (need to pay)?
Mine is in P5 and its 75 dollars, may b cheaper for p3.
same fee for P3... has you dd attended this b4? is it beneficial? i need to think twice cos it is conducted after school.....
My girl has not attended the science lessons in rgps. I will not be signing her up as she is currently attending lessons at their learning cte and some topics stated will be repetition for her.
They focus more on understanding thru experiments and its quite interesting and yes beneficial. As yr girl is in p3 and just started on science its good to expose her to some experiments, makes science a more interesting topic.

looks like a good enrichment center. -
hi moonee,
sounds interesting!
a) when you think is good age to start - P2 going P3, or earlier say, end of P1 ?
b) how useful & relevant do you find the Science practical experiments taught - for example: topics on Life science \"Plant & Human Body System\" ?
c) after working on those Science experiments, does it help a child in Processing thinking skills better ?
d) do they teach mind mapping, besides experiments ?
e) any other useful tips to share ?

Hi P6 parents & those whose DDs hv graduated, my DD usually had hardly any or very little hw in the past but for the past few wks, she has a lot of hw daily and hardly any time to do her enrichment class hw. Is this the trend due to prelim is round the corner and will continue all the way until PSLE ? Tks

Just for info,
Primary school science starts only at p 3, my son attending smart science too. Its more of a fun enrichment rather than a study subject. It's very fun as there are lots of hands on experiments, deep knowledge too but it's too chiem to really remember n understand in details. Unless, I think we have someone at home to do reinforcement or else it will b learnt n forgotten soon.
