[Novena] Primary Schools

SadMum:
It could well be a case of who strikes first. Given the TUR after 2B about 8-9% higher than last year, parents could be waiting till the last day before they decide (after assessing their chances)
End of Day 2 still got vacancies, unlike other top brand-name schools. How come?anxious:
Day 2 for SCGS
43 vacancies
(1km = 31)
(1-2km = 1)
(>2km = 2)
If you notice, the number of applicant under 1-2km and 2km is very low, as it's likely to ballot under 1km if the TUR is 70% after Phase 2b. -
Scgs upped the min score required to enter the feeder secondary scgs to 220. Think some parents are holding off bcos of this?

Withdraw from ACSP? Highly unlikely. For ACSP, do you think some more <1km will register tomorrow?
I'm dreaming if any possibility to see one or two withdrawal tomorrow

Definitely not. COP of 220 to enter one of the top schools in Singapore plus a school that's going IP is a great advantage. -
SadMum:
People are probably observing and waiting. I'm sure there'll be lots applying today.

it's sure a good deal but for parents hoping for the easy rote by affiliation, must think twice.merkon:

Still, I think SCGS will surely need ballot for <1km. it might be a case of Catholic high last year. all the best to those registering! My turn is still 2 years away but it is sure exciting to monitor the P1 registration!

Merkon, I was in your shoes 2 years ago watching & hearing from friends about the excitement of P1 registration, now that I am in the soup no longer exciting! Itβs really stressful & getting more difficult!

It will get more stressful and unpredictable in the next many years. So many PRs and now information distribution is getting so efficient
