i also think..now i sahm to look after them, but when i am old and sick, they'll probably employ a maid to look after me instead of taking time off or get their wives to care for me. :skeptical:

how the sons treat the parents will be dependent on the type of wives that they marry, cos my guess is that most sons don't have initiatives (unlike daughters). see my dh's lack of initiatives to communicate with his parents, i told him, my 'retribution' will be twice the number (cos i have 2 boys), so i better do some good now (eg i'm the one arranging home visits, meal gathering, birthday reminders etc),hoping that i get repaid twice the amount.

At least if the maid abuse me I can complain hopefully my son can change the maid but I doubt he will change a wife
Btw I got no son just 2 daughters.. Just tat my DD dun say I lame n walk away fr me in public when they grow up
