Thanks.Hi yes, Bengawan Solo already started selling them and their metal-tin box is very nice! I just bought one yesterday as I wanted to give some cakes to my son's pre-school and saw them so I bought a box of mooncakes instead!
The shop-keeper recommend buying the white-lotus paste one if you want less sweet. So I bought the white-lotus one instead of the usual brown ones. Can try!

Is the one at United Square still there ? King Albert Park is convenient, first hour free parking...Cold Storage seems to be undergoing a major make over...they cleared out Cedele and 7-11 at Jelita too....
Yes, the one at United Square is still there. -

whose durian mooncake is best ?
I like durians as fruits, not baked, not cooked. Wait... I like the durian cake at Goodwood.

I think Peony Jade's Cat Mountain durian mooncake is very popular!
Peony Jade is the one with the very famous fried yam mooncake as well. The original team used to be with Crown Prince. Can check it out! -

Sampled Bengawan Solo's mooncakes over the weekend. Surprised that they have a less sweet version of white lotus paste. Can't wait for my favorite brand to start selling.

Happy Mama, how’s the Bengawan Solo’s mooncake? Nice?

Hi BlurBee,
I just finished a box of Bengawan Solo mooncakes. Surprising, they are very fresh and nice!
I bought a box of white-lotus ones since they are less sweet and true enough, they are not as sweet so easy to eat! BTW, they have a \"Less Sweet\" version as well but I did not buy the one marked \"Less Sweet\", just buy the normal \"white-lotus\" ones which is already not so sweet with \"Gua Ze\".
I like what I saw printed on each mooncake wrapper:
1. Freshly baked
2. Made in Singapore
3. No pork lard!
I think this year I will buy BS for my parents and in-laws!
