      hi Penghu,

if you choose Joo Chiat cc, can confirm with her ballet teacher - is she teaching RAD or CSTD method ?

somehow i feel that RAD is more recognized in schools like SCGS (scroll to bottom page 1):

I'm a true blur sotong. Realized I've been calling RAD number instead of SBA. Haha! Now at the academy on a trial class for DD. Quite excited but too bad I could neither join nor peep at what is going on. Also went for trial class at Joo chiat cc. Thought the teacher is quite good too - can engage the students and everyone gal is happy. Assuming DD can get past assessment, I will be torn between choosing Joo chiat, which is definitely very near home, vs SBA. Any advice from the experts?

Joo Chiat CC is pretty good. They should be doing RAD syllabus. If it's near your home, you can consider it. If I'm not mistaken they hold regular concert performances for their kids to give them exposure to public performances which is important for the development of a dancer.

Hi jtoh! Din had sufficient time to talk to the teacher in charge so aren’t clear abt their system/format yet. Maybe check out again next week. I’ve heard their resident trainer Mrs Skipp is good but she doesn’t seem to be taking all the classes. The trainer taking pre pri now is ms Tan. Ever heard abt her?

Mrs Skipp is very experienced. I'm not familiar with Ms Tan but I believe Mrs Skipp would make sure that all the classes are conducted to a certain standard.

                Hi,

Anyone had feedback about Crestar ballet classes at Jurong East? I had called NAFA regarding their ballet classes, they told me they RAD exams too, but the intake will only be next Jan.

Is NAFA ballet good? I m considering since my DDs are having art lessons there.

                  Hi,

DD is joining her school’s chinese dance CCA & the teacher required her to get a pair of dancing shoes. Any advice?

                  TIA.

What kind of dance shoes? Soft soles? There’s a dance shop in Golden Landmark which carries them.
