[Tampines] Primary Schools

Hope your child gets a place in TPS.

I also hoping that within 1km from Tampines Pri, there no need for balloting.
That is why, in my earlier post, i have query as why Chongzheng is so popular. Surf the MOE website, the school doesn't have a school distinction award like St hilda's, Tampines Pri and Gongshang have. And Poi ching is popular because it is a SAP school. -
I just called up Gongshang primary. The admin told me Singapore citizen 82 applied, PR 15. Hopefully got chance.

If parents never go balloting, encourage to call after 1pm to find out about results. -

Hi Bernice,
if i am not wrong, all 97 applications for GS were within 1km. i called them on Friday at 11am, they told me there were already 95 appli and all within 1km.
i dun think they will want to consider anything out of 1km for GS. there is a link to check the distance from your house to school. -

Thx Chloecube.. i oso heard some kids drop out when thay reach K1 to join Hope community church school. May i know is Hope sch good?? Any particular reasons why u pull ur DD out from Beehives..?? Ms Rose told me that her students who study there has came back to her after graduating saying that alot of things they have learnt already. She assure me that the students here is ahead and will be well-prepared for P1 and the reason they are not registered with MOE is she don't like intervention. The teacher there is Ms Rita.yokie:
Hi Chloecube, i'm a newbie to this forum but have seen ur name in \"IDObaby\" forum on a thread on \"The Beehives Monte\"... May i know whether ur gal is stil with that sch. I understand from Ms Rose they do partial monte coaching but some parents advised me that monte teaching method is diff from P1, the system and method is different so i'm not sure whether to let my gal stick to 1 sch or change her when she goes to K1. My gal is now 3.5 yr old. Greatly appreciate ur advice...
hi yorkie,
DD had left Beehive 2 yrs ago. she was with Beehive since she was 15months till 4plus.
she attended the full-day care bcos i do not have a maid at that time.
i find Monte coaching is good, DD is very independant and pick up new concept at a quick speed. Monte class is also smaller, teachers are able to focus more on each individual.
i know there are some parents out there having the same worries as you , but do not worry, kids can adapt to new environment very fast.
when i pull her out from Beehive and put her in PCF, initially she cried a little but was fine after that.
if you are still worried, you may want to let your DD try out first and then put her in K1 when she is 5yrs old.
my DD is currently K2 with Hope school.
since i had left Beehive 2 yrs ago, i am not too sure if the same group of teachers are still there and i cant comment on the new teachers as i do not know them.
